Animal Anarchy

Published by ~Kat~ at 12:45 pm under Animal Blogs, Entrecard Edit This

Baby chick Animal Anarchy is a blog about all things animal. Perusing the blog I found funny videos and pictures, links to cases of animal abuse, and  posts on supporting various animal organizations   Compared to many of the blogs I have reviewed, this one is fairly old. It has posts going back to 2005. Posting is not frequent. Most months have just one or two posts. Most of the posts are short and easy to read. This is a good blog to read if you don’t want to get too involved in the topic.  Cute pictures, a couple of funny stories about the author’s own pets, and links to animal news are what make up this blog.

Once again it is a Blogspot blog, and after reviewing quite a few Blogspot blogs, I’m not going to hold that against anyone anymore!  However, I know it is possible to remove the blue band across the top, and I recommend that anyone with a Blogspot blog remove the band. It just doesn’t look good.

While the posts are quick and easy to read, the layout is not.  This blog is in need of some organization and formatting.  Currently the first post is a video, and it overlaps onto the sidebar.   The sidebar is full of various widgets, some of which did not load for me, and some which could really slow down the blog.

For the most part I browse in Firefox, but because this blog seemed to have a number of links and widgets that were not showing anything, I took a look at it in Internet Explorer. With IE, the widgets work, and now the blog shows animated animal cartoons floating around the blog.  It was cute for about a minute.  Then the animations started floating, and even stopping, over the blog posts, making them impossible to read.

If you like to read about animals, without a lot of depth, Animal Anarchy could be a blog that you would like. However, if you want to actually be able to read and see the content, I suggest using FireFox.  Like I said before, the animal animations are cute, for about a minute, but then, like a puppy piddling the floor, they quickly become annoying.
