Watch Lost in HD on Your Computer for Free
I am a little slow when it comes to popular culture. For years I have heard people talk about this TV Show called Lost. And how Lost was so cool, and so smart, blah, blah, blah. I’m not much of a TV watcher, and I don’t generally like to watch shows that require a “commitment”, what I mean is, I don’t want to watch a show that if you don’t watch every week you’ll be Lost!
Then last Christmas, someone gave my daughter the first season of Lost on DVD. I watched the first episode, and then the second, and then, oh no! I was hooked on Lost. Not just hooked but totally addicted. Once I raced through the first season, I had to find out how I was going to watch all the past seasons of Lost. Buying the DVD’s is too expensive. I might be hooked on Lost, but there was no way I could afford $50 per season. For awhile I rented the DVD’s from my local movie store, but at$4 per disk that wasn’t exactly cheap. Then I found out that I can watch the first 5 seasons of Lost, in HD, on my computer, for FREE!
The best thing is, it is totally legit. This is not a pirate site where you have to worry about picking up a virus. It turns out, the ABC website offers free epidodes of Lost and 19 other ABC TV shows. And because I married an uber techie geek, we have a computer hooked up to our plasma TV, so I can watch Free episodes of Lost, in HD on the 42″ screen!
It gets even better. Instead of having 5 minute commercial breaks, you have 30 second commercial breaks. When the commercials start a little 30 second timer starts counting down. At the end of 30 seconds you can choose to continue watching the commercial, or to continue on with the show. This encourages the advertisors to create entertaining commercials. I have actually watched a few of them all the way through.
I started searching and found that Fox TV also has over 20 TV shows that you can watch for free online.
This has really changed the way I watch TV. With most of the major networks offering their shows for free online, I am thinking of canceling my satellite TV once my contract is over. I don’t know why I should pay for satellite when I can watch the shows I want, when I want, in HD, for free.

I too watch it on my computer. This season ABC has gone above and beyond with their viewer. Hint - If you watch in Firefox and don’t enlarge the screen, the ads don’t show up at all.

Oh baby you must be related to me! Last year we rented the first season from Netflix and from the first episode we were addicted. (Still are!) We watched all four seasons on disk and now are stuck watching one week at a time. This is not good! Having to wait a week to see the next one is a little painful.
