You know that when you are addicted to something, you really like to share your addiction. I think it helps you feel a little better about yourself. It is even better when you can get your family addicted. Because then you know they won’t say anything bad about your addiction, because that would mean they are saying something bad about their own addiction.
Any rate, the whole reason for this post is to let you know that I got my baby sister to get her very own Today.com blog. And I can already tell that she is hooked. She is on it right now trying to figure out how everything works.

Please do me a favor and make sure she gets really hooked. Go over to What I See and make her feel really welcome. Comment on her one and only post, and please tell her it is terrific. In the end you will be doing yourself a favor, because I happen to know she is a better writer than me, and she can be a very funny person. Once she gets going I know she will have a great blog that everyone will want to read!

Do you know how many blogs are on the internet? I did a quick search, and I don’t think anybody knows. The best I could find was that according to Wikipedia, Technorati was tracking more than 112 million blogs in December of 2007.
More than 112 million. Wow! It boogles the brain. And I would venture it is safe to say that at least half of them are not worth the bytes they are taking up on their servers. So when a certain writer I happen to know decided to blog, I knew it would make the blogging world a better place!
Her most recent blog is Women Over Fifty . Not surprisingly, the author is a woman over 50. She is also retired. She takes time off from writing her book, to write on her blogs. Often she writes on her blogs when she feels she should be working on her book! I am happy that she blogs, because that means I can read her writing now, and I don’t have to wait for the book to come out.
The blog’s tagline is “exploring the excitement of having options” and that pretty much sums up the blog. The author writes about the little things in life. Christmas letters, reading, her square dance dresses. The writing is pleasant and cozy. Kind of makes me wish that her blog post were a book so I could cuddle up with them near the fire with a cup of hot chocolate.
Do yourself a favor and go on over to Women Over Fifty . And while you are there, leave a comment. I think the author is feeling a little lost and lonely in a sea of over 112 million blogs!

Maybe it is because I stayed up all night last night with a bunch of teenagers and didn’t get any sleep. (Scout overnight trip at a climbing gym!) But at first, I just didn’t get this blog. But then I looked at it again and found that I like it quite a bit!
Stick it To The Man is a fairly new blog. It has only been going for about a month or two. The author has a sarcastic, slightly witty style of writing, that is full of in your face tongue in cheek! Some of the posts sounded like just a rant, but some were quite funny. I laughed out loud at the Monopoly post. We can really tell that someone does not like Monopoly!
On the downside, I just can’t help but have a bias against blogspot blogs. I don’t know why. It is obvious that I don’t think a top level domain is mandatory for having a good blog! I would recomend that at the very least, the blogger finds out what needs to be done to get rid of that blue Blogspot bar on the top of the page. Then, install a spell checker and use it. I myself am a very bad speller, but I have a plugin for Firefox that underlines misspelled words as I type. Spelling mistakes can be very distracting!
Overall, I think this is a new blog that has some good potential. I think that this is a new blogger, who with time, will be able to find their voice and add some polish to their blog. And then it will be a very, very funny blog!
